No health or behaviour claims

A pouch for the food you are handing out on a walk. It goes on an adjustable belt, the main pocket pulls shut with a drawstring, and the mesh pockets take everything else you are carrying.

Why it is built this way

A pouch that spills is a pouch you stop filling. The main pocket closes with a drawstring rather than sitting open, so treats stay in it while you move. The belt fastens with a buckle and comes off the pouch entirely, which means it goes over a winter coat as easily as a waistband. The fabric is Oxford cloth, which the manufacturer describes as sturdy, tear-resistant and easy to wash.

Care

Empty it out and wash it by hand, then let it air dry. We have not tested it in a machine, so we do not recommend one.

How to use it

The same four steps, whichever piece of equipment you are holding.

  1. Put the belt on

The buckle adjusts, and the belt comes off the pouch if you would rather carry it another way.

  2. Pull the drawstring shut

It keeps dry treats in the pocket while you walk.

  3. Load the mesh pockets

A clicker, a whistle, poo bags, a small toy or a phone.

Questions

Is it washable?

The manufacturer describes the Oxford cloth as easy to wash. Wash it by hand and air dry it — we have not tested it in a machine.

Can I use wet treats?

It is made for dry treats. There is no wipe-clean lining, so damp food will leave a smell in the fabric.

Does the belt come off?

Yes. The belt buckle is removable and adjustable, so the pouch is not tied to one waistband.

What fits in the mesh pockets?

A clicker, a whistle, poo bags, a small toy or a phone.
